Tsunami

In December 2004, there was a crack in the bottom of Indian oceans, near west coast of Sumatra. This crack had created an earthquake and a huge wave of water that we usually call it a tsunami. It spread in all direction and bring a large destruction wherever it goes, mainly to the land near the center of the crack. The tsunami reached the mainland of Sumatra and caused a destructive effect on the mainland, especially in shore areas. The land is like swept away by it. The huge wave kills thousand of people. Mainly people who died because of being drift away by water or rolled by wave. It also destroys hundred of buildings and made it as flat as the ground. It washed away trees, plants, and flooding the local farm. Many cities was totally destroyed by this wave. Many people lost their family and also their property. All of these loss was an effect of tsunami. Ocean wave is also like fire, if small become a friend and if big become an enemy.

The Cause of Rainbow

For centuries, the cause of rainbow is interesting to talk by scientists or non-scientists. The natural phenomenon, rainbow which has been enjoyed by nearly all people seems simple. In fact, it is quite complicated to analyze. The phenomenon which attracts hearts of many people happens because sunbeam is refracted by water droplets while the water droplets itself exists in air because rain has just fallen or water of earth surface evaporates. We can see many spectrums of colors in rainbow because in fact, white sunbeam is polychromatic color. After refraction, the white polychromatic spectrum becomes several colorful monochromatic spectrums. In short, when there is water droplets, it is possible to see rainbow. Therefore, we usually see rainbow at the time rain stops falling.
