My hometown is full of farmers

Most of people in our hometown are farmers. They plant rice in ricefields and work from morning to afternoon. They work hard with hope of getting good harvest. When rainy season come, it is time for cultivating the fields, making seedbed, then planting the rice. Planting is usually not done alone, ever less, for them whose fields are large. They hire people to help. When the rice become yellow, they harvest it. The farmers feel really happy because their efforts are not useless. Having been harvested, the rice is cleaned and dried, then saved in ricebarn. Sometimes, the dried rice is sold to get some money. By using the money, they will buy their house needs.

However, it is not many of them who are rich. Many factors cause, why they are poor. One, government aid is not a lot in supplying fertilizers, poisons and drugs. They have to buy by theirselves in high prices. Two, dry season sometimes happen in a long time. The fields become dry and water stock decrease, or even empty. Three, irrigation system is quite bad. The farmers whose ricefields in lower land do not get enough water. Four, the price of rice decrease, while the price of house needs increase, so that they feel harmed. The last factors which make them keep poor is plant diseases, pests, mice, and birds which attack and destroy their rice.

Although they are poor as farmers, they keep diligent and patient. In addition, their family relation is so strong that they help each other. That is why they are all, become the happy farmers.
